I needed to do a Black Orc BSB so thought I'd try to have the various troop types I use incorporated into the standard. The result is so-so.....took some time to convince a spider to assist and add real spider silk :P.

- Hi Folks, I've been playing Warhammer Fantasy from early days, although have just gotten back into it after being absent for a number of years. This blog is to record thoughts and experiences from amongst myself and friends. Personally, I am currently working on Orcs & Gobbos and also have High Elves, Skaven and a few Warriors of Chaos. Amongst the other chaps we have every other army covered. We are not die-hard competition gamers, but enjoy the game for the social aspect as well as the hobby side of collecting and painting.
It looks pretty good, the spider web is a nice idea. It does kind of work, but also looks like the mini has been sat there on a shelf for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteThe painting is great, but I have to agree that the spider webs don't really work so well. It's a good idea to use the BSB as a way to tie the army together, especially in such a disparate force as Orcs & Goblins.
ReplyDeleteYeah you chaps are right, the web was ok in thought but poor in execution :P. It actually covers up some of the detail on the model...I'll put it down to a learning experience :).
ReplyDeleteGreat looking mini! I think the webs on the BSB are cool.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the web as well, but understand what you mean Fnurgn. Otherwise great BSB.
